Royal College of Surgeons Ireland Alumni Magazine

The 2020 issue was focused on the great achievements by alumni doctors, nurses and researchers on the frontline of Covid-19, as the world was suddenly hit by a pandemic that caused university terms to be delayed, graduations to be done online and life on campus to be changed. Opposing to that, there was also things to be celebrated, as the University status was finally prized to RCSI and the many awards won by honourable students.
As the University prides itself on research and celebrating great "firsts" in Ireland, it was important that the design reflected this in pages like news, where a selection of different news were placed on pages, together with imagery and infographics that praised for results, numbers and clear information.
For the client, if was also really important that alumni see themselves in the publication, so there was always a space for each person to write a note about the subject and had their photo taken, recognising them for all the work done and for continuing to be involved in the University helping new and old students.
The RCSI Alumni Magazine is an annual publication produced by The Gloss Publications with an editorial board from RCSI. The title celebrates achievements from alumni, discusses current issues, and honours staff.
