Publication: The Gloss Magazine Interiors
A biannual publication, the Summer issue of The Gloss Magazine Interiors was partially done during lockdown, a challenge to the team both practically and creatively, but that has resulted in an unique issue, adapted to the joys of staying at home and redecoration. The fact that travelling was not a possibility and that people were staying/adapting their homes more than ever, we wanted to inspire people by showing different ways people live and adapt to their neighbourhoods/surroundings ranging from castle living in the countryside of Ireland to downsizing to an apartment. As Irish readers focused a lot of time during lockdown on enjoying/keeping/refurbishing their garden, as a way to enjoy the summer, it was important that this was reflected in the content and imagery selected, focusing mainly on summery, green images and that the right/local advertisers were chosen to maximise sales.
The Gloss Magazine was launched and idealised in 2006 by Sarah McDonnell and Jane McDonnell as an Irish luxury publication with a focus on beauty, fashion and interiors. The magazine has evolved through the years to a newsstand format and a monthly title with The Irish Times, having achieved an average circulation of 56,518.
