The entire September issue was inspired by a minimalist, simple way of living, that includes buying less and better. Through the usage of simple lines, and other black and white design elements, the focus was completely on the text and the information transmitted, creating an easier read. The white space and the usage of a guest font elevated the design and gave the issue a feeling of a "special edition", anticipating the new Autumn/Winter season.

The Gloss Magazine was launched and idealised in 2006 by Sarah McDonnell and Jane McDonnell as an Irish luxury publication with a focus on beauty, fashion and interiors. The magazine has evolved through the years to a newsstand format and a monthly title with The Irish Times, having achieved an average circulation of 56,518.
