For this issue of the magazine the team has focused on the development of the new campus, celebrating 50 years of campus life and looking forward to the years ahead with the participation of the Architect Stephen Holl.
As a global, diverse University, with campuses and events in a variety of different countries, it was important to reflect in the design and the choice of imagery, the openness and pride of having students from different backgrounds. Design-wise I worked into displaying how special the issue was, therefore plenty of white space, gold and an inspiring photography was used throughout the publication. For the cover, a stock image or an illustration is commonly used, however, for this issue, the team thought it was important to show the real people that are participating in the process of changing the University, as well as a white border, to frame the image, like it was a portrait to be hanged on the wall.

UCD Connections is an annual magazine distributed by the Irish Times and has the last 5 years issues developed by The Gloss Publications. The magazine discusses current issues and achievements involving alumni and life on campus, as an idea to re-connect with classmates and stay involved with the University.
